Using imagery, colour and shape, students explore the therapeutic process through creative mediums, while expressing thoughts and feelings that can otherwise be difficult to articulate. A guided session gives students the ability to learn about art therapy as a discipline and explore the power of their own healing and therapeutic process through art. Instructors are accredited therapists with an Art Therapy focus. A great way to fuse health with the arts, and show students another angle to healing.
WHAT IS ART THERAPY

Art Therapy is an approach in which the art processes, product, content, and reflections are used to mirror a client's development, aptitude, personality, interests, and concerns. With the guidance of a therapist, the process of creation then offers a safe space and an opportunity for individuals to express and examine thoughts and feelings, learn about cause and effect interactions, improve problem solving patterns, promote social skills, develop responsibility and independence, cope with symptoms, and enhance self-esteem.
